Most of the clubs here in Northern Ireland run beginners courses. Some may only run one or two per year while others will have courses all year round.

The normal format is an introduction night where you can go along with no obligation and try the sport. If you wish to try the sport further you would then enrol in a 5 or 6 week course. There is normally a small charge for this and this will vary from club to club.

After the course you then decide if you would like to take the sport further and if you do you then have to become a member of the club and the Northern Ireland Archery Society. This will cover you for insurance and allow you to shoot at most competitions within the U.K.
